It was probably \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ewritten\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e as early as around \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e410 BCE\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, but it only premiered posthumously at the City Dionysia festival of 405 BCE, where it won first prize.
